Last Monday coming home from work on Canal Road, I spotted a Red GTS Cabriolet, with appropriate tags "GTS CAB". Driver looked familiar.......and a Dorki in Potomac does indeed list a Red GTS Cab in his signature. ;)

Agree, visibility looks to be a challenge. The baby versions are supposed to be aggressively priced as far as rovers go.

Very cool. Although I would not put much weight behind a Top Gear review of anything with British heritage. They're just a wee bit biased in that way. Looks like it has height adjustable suspension - that's pretty jacked up.

Yesterday near Rockville Town Center I saw a 944 (w/ MD plates "NINE 44") at the side of the road with flashers on, right behind a Chevy Suburban also with flashers on. The 44 looked pretty beat up. Most likely I had stumbled upon a soon-to-be expensive tow and repair.

DeLorean -- inner loop near River Rd Thursday at 9am. It was moving under it's own power!

Seeing it among modern cars made me realize two things:
1) It still looked pretty good -- although the louvers on the rear window is very '70-ish, and
2) I used to think DeLoreans were large cars but it appeared quite tiny next to a Toyota Corrola -- even small cars are damn big nowadays.

Today, 5:30 p.m., intersection of Robert Carter Road and Route 123 in Fairfax Station: White '73 Carrera RS (or clone) with green lettering. Driven by 50ish guy alone, turned south on 123. I've seen this car in my neighborhood several times in addition to my daughter and wife separately spotting in several times also. He's got to live in my n'hood. Let's hope he's a dorki... very, very nice car sounded terrific as he pulled away.

I liked the sound of the aftermarket exhaust on it.

To true! We drove the 996 to work almost everyday on the PGC side of the beltway. Hardly see any other P cars, though plenty of BMWs, C and E class MBs and lots and lots of SUVs!! L's fly'n solo yesterday and today. She likes droving the 996 as much or maybe even more than I do ;)

Saw a plate B RD SX. Not sure why someone would tell the world they are into watching birdsex. It's kinda strange, so I figured it's probably a Dorki. :lol:

Another easy-to-misinterpret plate I saw a few years back was on a cabrio VW, and read LUV CLT... It actually meant 'love Charlotte', and was a tribute to her baby, which died just prior to birth. But definitely not how the average plate reader on the Beltway would interpret the plate.
