Default 2008 CayenneS Low Beam out

Drivers side low beam quit. Have replaced bulb (Xenon) twice, no luck they were cheap, also replaced the fuse. The harness looks OK from what I can see. Stumped

switch on, power at the connector?
connector clean, not green?
resistance of power wire?
resistance of ground?

Will try that when dry out, all looks good visually, Not sure I can check resistance with what I have, just have a simple bulb tester.
Thanks

Did you check if your affected by this recall? Mine loves to "blink" whenever I come to a fast stop as the whole unit is shifting around sometimes.

I saw the recall don't think it has anything to do with this, all seems tight and the recall s just to limit the focus adjustment up or down. Had no problem till returning from HPDC the other weekend when as leaving I was told light was out.

Search Headlight Ballast at

https://rennlist.com/forums/cayenne-...-2003-2010-77/

There are many postings about ballast going bad as a fail for xenon headlights. After replacement, PWIS is needed to properly code the new part.

Good luck.

Swapped Ballast side to side and one bad ballast, so finally know what the problem is. Without spending $500 or so per side, do I need to do both at same time and what is a reasonable replacement

I don’t know anything about the quality of these.
