Nope.. My dad had a 1984 5000S wagon, 5spd manual. 2,144cc 5 cylinder motor. 110hp. It could go nearly 500 miles on a full tank of gas though But no, it could never accelerate, whether intended or unintended

As to the 928s, my folks also had one.. a 1984 928S auto. imho, yes, in person the cars look much better than they do in pics. I also think that overtime, their size and weight are something folks are now accustomed to.

Next to a 2100lb 911 or 356? no.. they look ginormous. Next to a modern 3500lb 996TT, they look much smaller.

I also think that when the added the Front and Rear spoilers, they added a bit of aggressiveness that also makes them look better than non-spoiled versions.

I believe it is the ratio of angles and curves, proportion and scale.
I will never forget my Architecture final exam question:
Compare and contrast these two slides

Well, back then you only needed to fill all the pages in the Exam book.
On the net we could write for days!

Let's start with "what is the same"?
Both are cars.
Both are RED on the outside.
Both are BLACK on the inside.

I saw a gorgeous red 928 today near Gainesville and it always impresses me how ahead of their time they were in style, and love their ass too..
