I quietly went to the dark side a few weeks ago (2008 BMW 135i C). No regrets and a huge improvement over Infinitissan.

Just to chime in, I'm on my 2nd 944 turbo and up until about 2 months ago I've always used Mobil One, whether on the street or rack, but I just switched to Brad Penn partial synthetic.

This is what was used by the previous owner of my current 951, and so I thought I'd give it a try to see if the ZDDP s all it's cracked up to be. It works great in all temperatures, and has even sealed leaks that existed with Mobile 1, so I'm a convert.

You won't know that until you tear down the engine, but glad it's working out for you.

Consider a comparison of wear metals using Blackstone Labs. I used to use Mobil 1, but have switched to Rotella T6 5W40 Synthetic used in heavy duty diesel engines. It's available in gallon jugs from Walmart. I know there are better race oils, but this has a lot of zinc in it, and I'm using it in 3 of my vehicles.

OK, so due to a lack of having M1 last time, I bought some Rotella and plan to try it out (today is oil change day). Stopped by WalMart today and 15w50 is back. The unit price difference between the two is about $.05.
