Just found my new resource for the Valvoline VR1 20-50 racing oil, Advance Auto here in Winchester stocks it @ $5.29 quart, I just bought all they had (13 quarts) and they assured me they will keep it in stock for me...

Looks like it's coming back: http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/...t_Walmart.aspx

Read over on Rennlist, folks are finding it for $26.50 a jug. Awesome.

I used Shell Rotella T6 15W40 in my 944 (on colder seasons). It's full synthetic and the right weight, and available at Advance. Allegedly it has more ZDDP but we don't want to go there. (Just realized Jim posted the same thing. ]

I'm using the T6 5W40 in my 2008 BMW 135i. Seems like a good deal. The fact that it's marketed as a "truck engine" oil must keep the pricing reasonable.

They're there. But best not to look for them.

I bought 30 quarts the last time and used a 10.00 rebate from Valvoline which covered the cost to ship if I recall

plus you get cooool stickers...as an added bonus for your tool chest...lol
