This is a bummer, but it seems like it is for the best. I guess this gives me some time for some other plans....lets see if I just kidding myself tho.

The only event I could find was Northern NJ has event at Pocono on the 25th and 26th.
I've never been to Pocono and would appreciate opinions.

Does anybody know how much track time is generally available for de runs? It looks like there are around fifty people already signed up? How many groups are the de drivers split into, for instance? If all those cars are put on the track in one group it would be like I95.

Go look at videos online and see what you think. It's usually the North course I think that incorporates a part of the infield and T3 of the NASCAR track, but backwards. (It's one giant piece of pavement. I watched some of the race this weekend and man, there's a ton of pavement. ) I think the whole thing is ~1.5 miles and folks run sub :60 laps. Pretty flat terrain. I have heard of pot holes off the paving, but I have no idea. I have thought of going, but haven't seriously thought of going.

If the IRL race is scheduled for the same weekend every year, and Potomac is scheduled for the week before every year, what happens if a different part of the track needs attention next year? Or the year after? Seems like the obvious thing to do would be to schedule for a different time that is not in the IRL window. They owe you for screwing up your scheduled time.
