Andy bought RL's old Carrera and did two NASA and one Potomac events (Watkins Glen) with it last year. Sadly, he had to sell it last fall/ winter. He came within one final check-out ride at WG from becoming a PCA instuctor; the loss of a pressure regulator forced him to pass up the last ride he needed with Alan H. He's running a mid-80s Volvo turbo this year, and attending a few NASA events (he became a NASA instructor about 2 years ago).

He made it to a couple events at Kurt's house last year and regularly visited the Dorki BB, but I think he gets depressed hanging out with all the Porsche owners now that he no longer has his 911 so he doesn't log on too often any more. He usually comes over to my house and hangs out one or two evenings each month.

I have an email address for him if you're interested, or you could always send him a PM via Dorki -- he logs on every now and then.

I'm so jealous of you guys who had fathers that were into cool cars and especially anyone who's dad was into racing. All I remember about my dad's cars when I was growing up was that they were all chrysler/slant sixes. Although now he's finally in a pretty cool BMW 540.

I do have a memory of sitting in my dad's lap in the passenger seat of his buddy's spitfire and going to watch a race at summit point though.

I'll need to fire up my old desktop computer and get some pics of the old BMW's.
Until then I'll play with the current driveway (short of the 44)

Here was my first Porsche. It then led to 951, which I will have to dig up some pics. I dont know if I have any film of the Olds 442 or my Grand national from days gone by.

Pictures of my other cars ('90 Miata, '85 Jetta and '82 Scirocco) are in the link in my signature. There's also the '86 911 of my dad's I babysat for a while. I never should have let that car get away.

dads list of cars :

crossley super sport, tr3, ac bristol, abarth fiat zagato ( 3 of them ), saab sonett v4, NSU sport prinz, fiat 124 sport, dellow mk II, saab sonett III.
I think you could say i was brought up with sports cars. Our family vacations consisted of trips to Bridgehampton, Watkins Glen, Danville, Sebring, and Marlboro raceway. I will have to buy a scanner for some of the old photos.

Ed,

Nice vans...I've got a buddy who has one of those Toyota vans. He's a Toyota van freak!

Now you need to post current pics of your other ride!

Edit: P.S. It looks like you have a thing for black wheels!
