Default Pictures of your other rides past/present

I searched back 50+ pages and didn't see anything on it. Looking at peoples signatures there are some pretty cool rides be it car/bike/boat on this board. I've seen 356, Triumphs, VW's, Austin Healeys, Toyo's, and all listed, not to mention Ducatis and Harley Davidsons. Just curious over some of the past and present rides, and some of the memories associated with them. I'm a car nut, anything with a motor (or sail) is cool.

Here is one of mine my 73 VW about 10 years ago in sunny FL. It doesn't look near as nice now but my parents still have it.

And my dad's 82 Camaro. I never drove this car, but I remember being about 5years old and having to put both feet on the door to kick it open and get out. This is from I'm gonna guess 1988-89 when we lived in Hoodbridge, I mean Woodbridge VA.

This was my first P-car from a few years ago. A 1974 914 with Carrera suspension and brakes, 3.0 SC motor.

You can see my 1958 beetle behind the engine drop pic. I ended up selling that to a friend in MD and he's driving around in it now!

Nice and yellow to boot. Any history behind them?

Interesting story about the yellow one I posted. For a bug its had some miles put on it. My dad sold the Camaro to get the bug and used it as his commuter from Woodbridge to Boiling AFB. He bought it from the original owner. We then went to Turkey (back when dependents were allowed to go there) and the bug went with us. In Turkey it got stripped down and repainted in what we assumed was the correct color and had the interior redone for a couple boxes of cigarettes and some good ole 'Murican whiskey. After that we moved to Belgium and the VW went along. For 2 of the 3 years in Belgium it was our only mode of transportation for a family of 4. We used to go to the commissary on the weekends and that thing would be bloated down with 4 people and all the groceries. Good times. Then we went to FL where I drove the piss out of it and tried to kill it but never could. After I left for college (didn't take a car my freshmen year) it started to get neglected. You just couldn't drive it around Tampa without roasting to death or getting the doors blown off. Since then it has just slowly been left. I tried to work on it over Christmas and might give it another go over Memorial day. Its still garaged so the rust isn't too bad, just in the battery tray. Someday I will restore her again. Someday....

My current 944 turbo shortly after I brought it home (Feb 2001). My first 944 (first car actually) in left side of garage. Dads 928 in right side. Both those cars since sold. Fathers current rides are a pair of 968's and a 944 turbo.

My car looks so stock in this picture lol gasp!

George,

Very nice 914.

My older brothers first porsche was a 914-6 in Blood Orange he purchased back in 1976. Drove it from NY to TX in the summer and had the fun of replacing the generator brushes in a motel parking lot at midnight while it was still 90 degrees out.

The car was was hit an totaled few years later by an old lady 60 minutes after he picked it up from the paint shop, he was sent spinning into a pole backwards and the motor pushed him into the steering wheel

My old super is now in Emerald Isle, NC with it's new owner.
