While the water-cooled cars (1998-2002 or so) are the best value in terms of power/$$ and modern suspension, there's a certain feel to the older cars. Are you looking to drive your car on the track? Hi Peter, great questions. I'm not looking for a track car (never been to the track, so I don't know what I've been missing!). My preference (based solely on lust) is a 911. However, I'm kind of tall (6'3"), and realize that my ultimate choice may be determined by how well I fit. If I can't get comfortable in a 911 then I'll start looking at something like a 968 or 944. My plan is to start trying out some older (80's?) and newer (02-05) 911s and go from there.
