Oh ye of little faith. When Gary ran the Targa Newfoundland they gave him a decal with a number to identify the RUF car. They made the mistake of asking him what number he wanted. He choose 914 in a effort to disguise his car.

Na, he was just trying to class it up some.

Geez you guys are great! Here's the latest on the Church conversion/salvation projects.

The RUF is getting a 750hp monster motor. That will make it interesting at the drags...maybe we should hook Bill's teener to the back of it for "penalty weight"?

The teener will live but be MUCH lighter. Lookout Dirk. 8)

Dirk will have to run the underground races by himself for a few months until we have car(s) ready to go.

Unfortunately the motor drop for this Saturday had to be cancelled. Jack from EuroPro will be in our garage working on the RUF all weekend. Then he takes my teener back on a trailer for some massive TLC. You've just gotta love a body shop that does housecalls on weekends and provides transport!!

Great topic and thanks for sharing the minutes CMartin.

What struck me as strange is that 50% of the member drop after the first year & then another 25% the next year. So the proposal is to get them involved in activities... good start. Do they join to participate in DE, socials, group drives or to get the PCA decal. I would think they'd want to know why they're leaving (maybe for some of the reasons above).

I have been to their web site 100 times since moving here 3 years ago and have considered joining. Even sent a email asking about a meeting and never got a reply. This maybe an isolated incident but it solidified my reservations.

In contrast I "joined" Dorki and had a problem & get a half dozen responses and mutiple offers to borrow tools.

Maybe the comparison isn't fair and to echo the above with size come complexity (which isn't always good for members).

If you got to pca.org and fill out the information, you should get a fairly quick reply. A few months ago they were having a nightmare of a problem with new membership software, but that's been fixed.

Does simply subscribing to dorkiphus.com make you a member? Do you have to be able to R&R something significant? I'm good at taking it apart, it's the putting it back together where it all goes downhill Of course, I made my mechanic sweat when I showed him my new Dewalt 18V cordless impact wrench with 300 ft./lbs of torque.
