Don't worry -- 95% of the participants will have the 'fear gene' -- it's the rare few who jump in, hammer the gas and fly into the first blind turn without any fuching clue.

Most drive much slower on the track initially then they do on the Beltway in the rain with cars only 2 feet away on each side.

I had a gal student who had spent a lot of time in blue - just didn't want to go faster. When she was my student, she decided it was time and we spent the weekend driving faster--and she was promoted to white. Now she's in black, and passes me (not that that requires going all that fast...). Perhaps she wanted to get in white just to make certain she'd never get me as an instructor again .

Awesome, thanks guys. As many who know me are well aware, my fear gene has always been a bit smaller than most, so I'm finding it tough to totally relate to the girlie. I'd really like her to get into this though!

I don't think she's ever been to a track day with me. Has come to a few races with me when I drove the Lemons car and formula car but it's not really the same...besides, that was back when I was trying to impress her still... :-D
