Default Truck Tires

Michelin also has another tire you should consider: the Cross Terrain SUV. I've got them on my truck, and I really like them.

I bought mine through Radial Tire, but here is a link to info: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....ss+Terrain+SUV

The stock tires that came with my new Ford F-250 suck. I need 4 new tires already at only 17k.

Another Michelin LTX M+S endorsement...

I went from OEM Firestone to the LTXes on my V8 Exploder (which I used to tow 5500# of boat and trailer -- Exploder and boat have since gone to new owners).

Great tires both while towing and when not. Smooth, quiet, long lasting, good braking even in the wet.

Chris"

Saw a blacked out US-SS looking 'burban today and noticed the Bridgestone Dueler HTs.. These tahrs [I'm assimilating to this below the Mason D line crap] looked awfully sweet on the rig. Get good reviews on t-rack as well.

My friend just put D rated BF Goodrich ATs on his T-hoe. They are oversized +1 and it looks good for mud-bogging but not towing. He is running a 3:73 rear end [std] and has lost some towing umph. Check in the glovebox for the build codes telling you what your truck came with.

Back in the day, I used to run BFG mudders 33" X 10.5" on a lifted '84 CJ-7. Great bog tire, crappy street one. Lasted a ling time and definitely droned out the rad-yo.

FWIW

It turns out the truck needs 1 tire for inspection. So, it looks like I'm buying two. The car currently has 245's, +1, so I'll it's either 2 x 245 or 2x 225 to keep things matched.

Decisions decisions.
