Not sure you can hang it from the top bar, probably would look straight at the mirror. Lower bar or harness bar shoots below the mirror but the mirror is still visible. Have also seen the IO monted on the front side strut of a cage. I tried an older video camera about 8" by 5". Vibration was too much. Strap comes with the IO and should you have a sudden stop, will stop a couple pound camera bouncing around inside the vehicle to whack you.

I use a bullet camera because it is lighter and smaller than mounting a normal camera. Because it is so small, it does not noticeably obstruct vision. A small cable runs from the bullet cam to the camcorder, which I have strapped to the floor behind my passenger seat on top of two sponges that seem to absorb shock and vibration very well. Check out the videos from VIR that I have posted to see the result.

OK, I'm going to OG to get my helmet. I'll look at the mount.
How much for the bullet cam?
It's probably a little much for me at the moment since I'm really looking for a simple solution. My camera is small 8mm I wouldn't call it palm but you do hold it with your palm and a strap goes over the back of your hand.
It does have the stability feature. Will that help with the vibration?

You can get bullet cams for as little as $70. They do not have stability features. Rather, they just "replace" the lense of your camcorder in that the image is taken from the bullet cam and fed into your camcorder. The stability feature of your camcorder provides the stabilization.

Thanks, where to buy? best buy? I guess I'll have to figure out if it will work with my camera.
Seems like a good solution I guess that can just be strapped on somewhere?

Thanks anyway. I saw the mount at OG today and passed on it. I mentioned the bullet camera to the guy there and he mentioned that the resolution of some sucks.
Since I don't really know what the specs. mean can anyone tell me if this one at the web site above is worth buying.
At that price it makes sense to me unless it's crap.
Thanks TD have you seen this one in action?

I bought my camera from www.hoyttech.com. It was in a kit, but I bet you could contact that site and purchase a stand alone camera. The resolution on my camera is outstanding! The camera from the website I posted appears to be the same type of camera that I have, BUT I have no personal experience with that website or particular camera. If you want to be safe, go visit www.hoyttech.com.

Not sure why you passed on the IO. Cost?, Mounting? I have used one for 3-4 years with my Cannon Elura and have great video. Remote lens monted on helmet as per Ralpf would be fun,
Dirk
