I have a safetly devices cage in my red car. I was surprised how much room I still had to in the car when I packed up for DE last weekend. I tote around a plastic storage box on the back shelf and it fit just as easily as it did pre-cage. I will say that with fixed seats it would be a bear, not sure anything solid would fit.

Matthew,

I'm just curious. Why do you want a cage?

Concur with John here. What run group are you in first. How much, if any, are you going to run your car on the street, Hours spent in the car % wise? A cage will be at least annoying on the street, more likely dangerous in a fender bender when you bounce your noggin off the cage or roll bar even if you think its far enough away to be of no concern and covered with foam. If you have a track car that you run once in a while to go get gas, run for a pretech inspection, take your chances. Remember a hard roll over in a 911 is not likely to cave the roof in to seat level, and as long as you are not held upright you will get pushed down. Yeah I know there are exceptions, but bump your noggin against a roll bar at 20 MPH and you will probably say more than ouch. Sure I know it looks cool.
