The 'fix' I 'installed' was allowing for the use of GZIP compression which presses the server to compress files for a speedier delivery. This also drastically reduces the amount of bandwidth required by the serving of the pages.

In response to the older problem with not found or latent pages there was a problem with the ISP that has been resolved. They had a bandwidth management issue which was fixed by them...

Anyway hope everything is clear. The ISP is responsive so please post any speed issues here....that may crop up in the future.

I don't exactly know what all those explanations mean. But the site is definitely quicker and more responsive now. No blank screens either. Thanks, guys.
