This would be a great event, if it wasn't on the Shenandoah Circuit!

Just the way the walls of the SC's pit wall or the Glen's Armco can scare you into being a bit extra careful. As for it being an accident waiting to happen, maybe that is true of many of the most fun corners, the the brake modulation as one zig zagged into that corner leading on to the pit straight was such a thrill for me.

The more I think about that track, the more excited I get. The 1st time I was there was for one of the 1st schools held there, I had car troubles on the way to the track (which is a crazy story itself) and missed tech inspection. Despite searching out the tech chair and trying to make everything as easy for him as possible, he refused to tech me before the 1st session. I kinda needed to learn the track during the 1st session because I was assigned two students, so I rode with Richard John in his nicely prepped E30 M3. Richard was one of the greatest guys I ever met at the track, but he was a good driver too. I will never forget that ride because he knew the track from the previous day and was haul'n. I didn't have a clue where the track went and was trying my best to memorize it from the right seat! To add to my enjoyment, the tech chair's car blew up after a lap or two during that session and was parked in the grass for the rest of the session. Richard and I agreed it was karma.
