The 901 and a 904 were are the 1999 Challenge. Very cool cars to see in person.

The 904 is a daily driver. I just have to convince Lee to set the course as a "3rd gear" event. He may also bring his 906, 907LH, 908/2 and 910. Still trying to reach guys with 956, 962, an Indy car, a 356GT, etc.

It looks very good for the 901. That's it so fat. Still haven't heard from Lee about third gear!! If it is a yes, a 904 is a strong possibility! CAll Lee!!!!!!!!!!!

Mark....Tell the guy that he can drive it around in third the whole time if he wants too!!.....Seriously, I doubt most cars would ever get into third at any auto-x at Ripken.....if they did, it would be for a very brief period of time

We always make the courses as fast and safe as possible.....I would imagine the "safe" part is the most important component a driver of any vehicle, especially ones those rare could ask for!

Good luck Mark....we hope the drivers of the wonderful cars you mentioned can attend...we would love to have them!

Lee, I'll let him know but I think he was hoping for a third gear guarantee. Oh well.

I never see third gear in my little 914, and the gearing is shorter thanks to the 50 series tires. If one of the big boys in the 996's got in third, we'd be talking a road course and not an autocross.
