Default Chesapeake Challenge

Fellow Dorkis,

The Chesapeake Challenge is one of the longest running multi event weekends in the club. The event starts on the Friday September 14th at 6PM, with a welcome party at Turf Valley lodge and resort in Ellicott City, MD.

Saturday starts early with a wash and shine car show and full concours (Turf Valley).

After lunch, we'll have a gimmick photo rally (Turf Valley) followed by a short few hour break.

Saturday night is the awards dinner (Turf Valley) complete with fabulous giveaways from local P-car shops.

Sunday is the auto cross at Ripken stadium up in Aberdeen.

Here's a link to online registration: http://www.pcachs.org/events/cc38/cc38.html

Default The autocross portion of the challenge....

This is going to be the most exciting autocross of the year!!!!!......it is Autocross #6 in the Chesapeake region points series, it is part of the annual Chesapeake Challenge this year, AND...it is the highly anticipated rematch shootout between the Potomac and Chesapeake regions!!

We are excited to host all of our guests in September for what promises to be a fast, fun day for everyone! As Drew mentioned, we hope some of you coneheads will make a weekend out of it and join us for some of the other great events we have planned for the weekend. Hope to see a bunch of fellow dorkis there!!

I am hoping to have a selection of vintage racing Porsches inlcuding a 904, 906, 907LH, 910, 956 and 962. Nothing confirmed yet, though. Positive thoughts people!

Not at all. Prescott has been very helpful in helping me contact guys that are in reasonable driving range that have these wonderful cars. I spoke to a guy yesterday that has the 904, 906, 907LH and the 910. He drives the 904 on the road and may autox the 904. (has a modified imsa 3.0 that puts out ~300bhp) Extremely cool guy!!!!

Looking good for a real 901. Yup, a real 901, not an early 911. Extremely cool car, too. And a great owner!

Is this an open meet for all to attend, as scheduling permits, or is there a formal entrance fee to come and observe the concourse cars? What is the protocol for the event?
