Hey man - lifted Ex - yeah I remember you. Great to bump into you here.

That whole push start thing I had going on at VIR was a double double cause/single effect situation. Turns out I had a wire loose on my starter - no surprise, right? So i got that straightened out and at the SP club race, my starter quit because of heat-soak - would only work if cold, wouldn't crank when the car was hot. Crazy huh?

Got any events on your calendar?

OK - you're probably wondering why I asked about your car. From the picture, it looks like the first SC I owned. It was unique in that it was a non-sunroof with only a driver side mirror - came that way from the factory. Anyway, since I sold it, it's changed hands 3 more times and I've always bumped into it at some point. Figured you might be the current owner. Wish I never sold it. Great color - as is yours.

BTW, what tires are you running on the track?

EDIT: I misread that as "times". I'm running Hankook RS2s on there. I don't rate R-comps yet.

Default Introductions, Introductions....

Hello all,

My name is Jim and I live in Linthicum Heights, Md. I just joined the list today.

Actually....A very nice lady named Pam told me about this site when I was out at Summit Point
this pas Friday afternoon. We were the only 944's in the paddock that day, so we naturally parked next
to each other and traded stories about our cars like they were our kids or something. I've had
my car for well over a year....I enjoy learning more about it and in return, doing my own work on
it (where possible). And.....I'm always willing to lend a hand, loan out my tools, and/or learn
something new whenever possible.

As it is now, I'm starting to slide down the slippery slope of "tracking" the car and I'm still working on
getting the car the way I want it. I'm a Rennlister, PCA (Potomac) member and I've
done SCCA autocrossing (only not with my 944). Anyway...I'm looking forward to
learning from those who've "been there and done that".....

Cheers!

Welcome! John and Pam are regulars at the PCAP track events and here. I wonder now if some of John's posts are actually hers Though I think most wives would object to Dorkiphus less than some other mostly male oriented sites

Hey, did you get a date with Pam? Her husband's a loser.

Nah...my wife would strenuously object....and
worse...would probably start paying closer attention
to my "hobby". That would be bad. Very bad.

Hi Jim,
This is Pam. It was nice meeting you at FATT. Too bad we weren't in the same run group to compare cars. The program was run really well and I hope to go back next season. Don't listen to Dr. K, John is NOT a loser!
