Default Sportomatic service?

Anyone know a mechanic who could take a look at a sportomatic transmission? The gears are grinding, and while I suspect it is an electrical connection problem with the electronic clutch I might need more mechanical expertise. Also - anyone know who can repair a driver side door latch? Thanks.

For old transmissions, ASG, maybe? Geoff and Ray have worked on a lot of older Porsches. And maybe try Roger Bratter at AutoTherapy (he's probably the closest to you, as he's by G'Burg Airport).

Who did your transmission work (clutch) and how long did it take to finish

It’s been awhile and I have limited experience, but like the VW version most issues are usually with the switches in the shifter.

Switched ground, hopefully its just a dirty contact. Simple enough to check for vacuum or leak. Found this from an old pelican bookmark.

Also Matt de Maria, who is now also at the air park. Although he is no longer in his solo shop I believe his number is still listed as Stuttgart Performance Engineering. And Roger Bratter is right near there, too.

Thanks - I hope so. Will check the connections and switch to the vacuum servo this weekend.

Thanks very much. Roger is going to take a look but anyone who could help out going forward would be great to know about. I can do some of the work myself but full service requires actual knowledge and skill, of which, I have none.

Check with Eric - WillsWerks
He knows a lot about all kinds of Porsche aircooled transmissions

And if you have MFI, he can tune that too.
