Schweeet! Too bad I can't get the suspension and ride height done before then...

Just don't schedule on the weekend of the Barret Jackson Auction...it is 22 Jan to 25 Jan I think...I will be there checking out the sweet rides...and the cars too.

I saw the Harbor Freight box on the door step and ripped it open before I even got the box in the house! Guess I'll never grow up

MIG Welder! Can you weld stainless with that? I would like to cut the left hand exhuast tip of my dansk dual out and re-weld it in a position that matches the right side...so it isn't lopsided.

Christmas was good except:
NO 930S steering wheel
NO "Excellence Was Expected"
NO Tools

What is going on with the wife? I think she might be broken. I even made a very specific list with part numbers and everything. If it doesn't appear for the anniversary on Sunday, have VISA will travel.

Yes, you can weld stainless with a MiG. It requires a little more skill than regular steel but is not rocket science. You need to have the correct wire and gas and clean up things with a wheel made for stainless. Welding is easy but cutting the stuff with a saw can be a bitch as it eats common saw blades for lunch. Cobolt saw high speed cutoff wheel or a plasma cutter is the way to go
I have the needed materials and weld the stuff all the time and would be glad to lend a hand.

We had a nice christmas at Mickelwait Manor,
Gave 3 stone diamond and platinum neckless and lot of little goodies to the wife and got a new office chair (am sitting in it right now) a Craftsman scooter and a 3 month old to share Christmas with
(A scooter is little short chair with wheels and a hydraulic hight adjustment that is good for working on wheels, brakes and the like)

I hope all had a good Christmas and a good year to come.

Sam,
Sounds like Kurt is your man. I've had my welder for a week, so I wouldn't recommend your setting me loose on your baby...yet! It's been a few years since I've run a bead, and could use a refresher couse. Bummer on the X-Mas gifts issue. My tactic is to list things out for the wife like you did, and use the two kids as foot soldiers to make sure she gets it all. :P

Kurt,
You have a Plasma cutter right? What did you buy, and are you happy with it? Sometime when the garage is open, and your doing MIG/Plasma work, mind if I look over your shoulder?
