I was at Summit in the mid 80's when Hans won the race in the rain with the all wheel drive Audi. He did his signature yodel on the podium and I have video of it on a vhs somewhere.

Also had the opportunity to see a 962 in pieces at Peter Dawes shop a couple of years back when we stopped there on the way to TechTactics. This pics below are some of the engine pieces that were laying on the cart that he let us examine. The carbon fiber alternator fan, the triple pickup oil pump and the equally unobtanium gear driven cam drive. One of the cam gears was ruined in the engine mishap and had to be made from scratch as I recall.
