Default I'm baaaaaaack.

Hi folks,

Once upon a time, I hung around here a bit before life intervened, and now - I'm back. Nice to meet you all again.

Here's me before, I was in an '05 Boxster base then:

Not long after my first DE at Summit in '06, I ended up on a fabulous government-funded vacation to exotic Southwest Asia (highly recommended!). Shortly thereafter, I took the opportunity to meet knew and stimulating people of an ancient culture...and be harassed by them, and moved overseas for a couple years - selling the Boxster in the move. Overseas I had access to the BMW Military Sales program, and took the opportunity to pimp my life with an '09 BMW M3 Coupe purchase. It really is quite baller, but while the 4.0L naturally aspirated V8 is a beast, it does not sit, ride, or corner anything like our favorite marque. Once you get in one, that itch stays with you.

Anyway, I finally moved back out to NoVADC (although, now we call it The DMV...), a few deployments heavier, and dragging a woman around now. We've squatted out here in SoMD for almost 3 years now, and the collective Dorki chakra / energy field / "the Force" finally took over and drove me back into a Porsche.

I picked up my first modern 911 on Craigslist last April, and did a spin through a few Autocross events last year. Once I burn through these lousy Hankooks, I'll probably have no choice than to pick up some sticky rubber, and wander out to Summit again.

I'll be at the PCA Potomac Autocross School (possibly dragging the Mrs.) and a few (or more) of the Autocross events this season. I'm #437 (the side number of the H-60 Seahawk I flew on my first deployment while watching TLAMs visit Saddam in a shocking & awe-filled manner.

Somewhere along the way, I managed to stumble my way into some professional instruction in a rental, around a racetrack that seemed to go on forever - I don't know what reeling, drunken giant picked that route, but it was awesome.

See you out there. If you see me, come ask me what that license plate acronym means,

Was on the DEYO for OIF kickoff, and the GETTYSBURG for a fun-filled (no, seriously, this one ACTUALLY was) cruise around the North Atlantic for Summer Pulse '04. Good times - but, definitely a young man's game...

I'm in Mechanicsville; retiring in Jan, but the wife splits tele-work/office-work on The Mall, so the tractor beam will have us here for at least a few more years. And, once that intertia sets in...well, clearly I don't have to tell you.
