When I visited Korea in 1994, there were plenty of cars with snow chains on the non-driven wheels. So, not surprised at general idiocy ignorance.

Maybe there wasn't as much room under the front fenders to install the chains.

I agree. Common sense is out the window these days. Did the daughter consider using the "afluenza" defense?

The phone itself is one thing, but who was paying the monthly bill? If my kid gets a gift of video game, but their grades at school are suddenly in the toilet, why can't I restrict the amount of game play. In the cited case, it sounds like the judge was able to see through all the BS. IMHO, shame on the attorney for taking the daughter's case.

In a former career life I had some experience in this area. The rules vary state to state, but in my experience they would take your children, only after ALOT of grumbling and efforts in vain not too... and then send you the bill. Less money for you to enjoy..

Mother and daughter cut off all further contact with the father. I suspect there is far more this than a cell phone.

Maybe mom can introduce daughter to Ethan Couch....if/when he gets out on bail.
