The car currently has factory 996 GT3 seats and Schroth 6-points, which expire in a few days. The sub belts wrap around a bar that mounts under the seat:
![]() I have purchased a Sparco Ergo seat and a set of Sparco 6-point harnesses. I have also purchased the base as shown in the first post, side mount brackets, and sliders. So, yes, the seats have holes for the sub belts. My current shoulder belts mount to the roll bar, and I plan to do the same with new ones. My outboard lap belts are bolted to the factory seat belt mounts on the floor, I plan to do the same. My inboard lap belts are bolted to the seats. Looks like the Sparco base has an attachment point for the inboard lap belt. I'll talk to OG and maybe Piper about all of this. I'm not sure B-K has anything that will work with the other parts. I imagine bolting sub belt attachments to the floor is simple enough for a shop that does this sort of thing. I may also consider having someone install secure attachment points on the center tunnel for the inboard lap belts. Attachment of the sub belts to the base as I was describing in the first post . . . It seems to me that the structure is plenty strong. This would position the anchor points back from the hole by maybe 6", and the sub belts will then pass through the properly positioned hole in the seat bottom. I guess my big concern is the one Michael mentioned, which is that it might not be a good idea to wrap belts around this rather flat piece of metal. Could tension on the belt result in the metal cutting into the belt? Then again, having a belt wrapped around a flat piece of metal is what you get when a buckle is attached to the belt, so maybe not much difference:
