belt broke before lynchburg...heated up then overheated.
dropped the 991 off the trailer on side of road and drove it home. on R888s w halos & harnesses w track alignment was...interesting. Quote:

Have seen just this in the 4 rings shop directly. 45 K leased car with a "owner" that thought warranty and lease = no worries or $ on oil changes. he drove it until the oil light would come on and then add some oil. Inside of the motor was hardened tar like skin on roofing tar like goo. Low oil pressure a CEL brought him in. $14K changed hands before he left.
