Default Recommendation for a good detailer

Looking for a recommendation for a shop in Maryland to get my car detailed. I'd like to have the exterior finish clay barred, polished and waxed. Not so intent on having anything done to the inside, but will consider that too, if the price is right.

dude who does our cars is ex-meguiars rep and has been in detailing for 15+ (20+?) years. very meticulous and excellent attn to detail. the only pain in the a** is that he works out of his home garage (5 bay, heated/cooled, un-frickin-believable setup) in comus MD so pick-up & drop-off can be a hassle.

he is not "for public hire" per se and mostly does private collections (sometimes a ferrari, lambo, porsche there when i come by) so i will PM you his info.

Hey, not sure what you're having detailed but you can try these guys.. http://www.shinemyride.com/

We took a girl-friends 85 yr old dad's Jaguar to them for a full detail while he was out of town and they really did a great job. Her father is a total non-car guy and uses the Jag almost like a pick-up. I was impressed that they brought the paint-up very nicely, they clayed it and went through several buff & wax steps. They also got numerous stains out of the carpet & leather.

No affiliation, just impressed with the work. I actually plan to use them to shampoo the carpet in a couple of my cars soon.

I am also looking for someone in the area - I live in Potomac so Comus is right nearby - care to share?

Seconded. Brad did a fantastic job on my wife's Jeep (part of her birthday present). Highly recommended.

The fellow that Chris M (SpiffyJeff) is referring to is the absolute best. I just picked up my 911 from him this evening and left the CLK AMG with him to do tomorrow. I cannot recommend him highly enough (and Chris is right, the garage is WOW!). If you need his contact info, let me know. I'm not posting it here publicly though...
