Pulled the motor on my race car yesterday. Dropped an exhaust valve earlier in the season and want to autopsy the motor to see what’s reusable. Car has sat for 5 months or so while we worked through family issues

Sitting snug against engine mouted oil cooler so could have easily cause over heating or even a fire.

I have heard that mice infestation is quite common for 911s that sit around a lot, does anyone know any preventative measures?

David, are the autopsy results in yet?

I can attest to the mice issue. I had one get into the wiring in the front drivers side area of the engine compartment on the 964. I had another one this last winter create a nest in the air intake box on top of the air filter in the racey car. Nothing that has caused any real issues, but I do a pretty thorough inspection taking them out of storage these days.

I've thought about the large inflatable drive in bubble storage system, but figured the mice would just chew through that as well.
