Default Time for 2nd 911

Purchased a '82 911 SC Targa in August. Been perfect except some seals around the top and have put almost 5K on her. Been resisting, but now its time for another. Looking for a 911 Coupe - 1978-1988. Know of anything sound out there at a reasonable price.

Check the Dorki classifieds.. and check some "older" ads as some cars haven't sold but aren't being agressively pushed either.

Times 2. seems like lots might get “posted” just to appease the SO.

FWIW I'll be putting my '87 Carrera coupe up for sale next month. It's silver with white & black interior. Engine was rebuilt by one of the local Porsche shops in 2005, and is still bone dry on the underside, not a single oil drip or leak. If you're interested, I can take some pics next weekend and email them to you.

As to the OP.. there can be some certain economies by having two SC's vs say, SC and Carrera. For instance.. brake pads are the same, but rotors are different. CIS vs Motronic. If late enough, G50 vs 915 trans. While they look the same (almost) on the outside, Porsche aways seemed to make small upgrades year to year, and certainly model to model.

And, since this thread is so old, how is the search coming along?

$27,500. I bought it in 2006 with 72k miles from Eric Busch of Busch Motors in Herndon, VA. It was his personal car and he replaced the head studs among other work. It was imported into Texas in 1984 by the owner of a high tech company and was there up to 2000 or so. I believe I am fourth owner. I have a good amount of receipts that detail the car's history pretty well. Paint is original and I believe a special order color. Photos available, test drive any time.
