Default Stereo Upgrade - Recommendations??

Since I use the P-car for a daily driver into DC, I am thinking about upgrading the sound system somewhat. Not interested in a $5k or $10k system that I read others have done, but something to improve overall sound and low end response. Also thinking about XM or Sirus -

Can anyone recommend a good shop who sells and installs systems - I am more concerned about quality installation; there are too many shops doing butcher cheapo jobs - ask me how I know.

Thanks much.

No one better than our own Vu (87turbolook911). Look through the event topic for the stereo install thread. Vu hosted fellow board members at the shop and installed some goodies in what was a real clinic.

Hi Chuck,

At minimum I would recommend upgrading your headunit (unless you have done so already), a 4 channel amplifier and upgrade the speakers (should be 6.5" in front and 4x6" in the rear) in your factory locations. We did this in Dave's (Black Talon) car. Sounds nice with punchy mid bass.

If your looking for a little more low end extension, I would add subwoofer(s). How many, what kind, and where will depend on you. We can talk about the many options.

Email me your number and I'll give you a ring.
