We need to pick up tonight Monday, 8.22.11, a driver's side '74-'77 rear taillight housing assembly. The guys working on my car cannot begin until they have it and I want to get it to them ASAp... Does anyone have one?

We thought we found a tail light housing assembly but it was not for a 930 body. It was smaller all around..Its at top priority so the guys at the shop can fit it to the car.

Here are the much-needed parts:
-Left '74-'77 rear taillight housing assembly,
and for it, a:
-Left Rear Tail Light Lens with black trim, European, 911 (1974-89)
-Left side-view mirror
-An under bumper spoiler for the front, with inlets for the after-market radiator. Check out the one on the nose of the car below
-Right headlight assembly & lens

Did you post this on Pelican? Much more likelihood of finding stuff there, but shipping will take a little while. You could always buy new, if time is an issue...

I am wondering why they can not work on the car until they get the part (tail light assembly) that will be the absolutely last thing that they assemble after the panels are repaired and repainted?

If you are hammering out existing metal and need to work the metal having the light to adjust the hole and mounts helps.

Yes, it helps. But hold up the whole job? From what I saw there was a lot more metal to be straigthened than just that around the tailight. And you can measure the other opening to get it close.

I have heard every excuse in the book to explain why a job was not done anywhere near the expected time and cost and my BS radar goes off on this one.

we visited the car in the body shop today. They are pretty much done except with the area around the rear taillight housing. Our housing was badly bent. They want a new one so as to correctly beat the hell out of it.

Do you have the old housings? Bring it and any broken off bits and the one from the other side over and lets see if we can make something up to get Sly by from stock materals and what is left of the old one.

That is great that you were able to get the car straightened out that quickly, do you mind if I ask what shop you used?

I'm also surprised at the short time frame. I guess you're going for function over beauty. Europros would have had it until next year.
