Default dyno shop

Does anyone recommend a shop to dyno AND make adjustments for a 993? (finishing up a top end rebuild and want to check it out) I'm near Rockville but willing to travel to the right place.

Curry's in Ashburn has a 4 wheel dyno.

Thanks Kurt. So that's where I will go! I hope to have everything together this weekend then it'll be off to Curry's for adjustments and check hp compared to stock output.

Did you have a chance to Dyno before the work? As you may already know, having an "after" number doesn't always help if there was no "before". Combine that with variances between different dynos and the numbers can still conflict. My car's been dynoed twice on 2 different dynos each yielding 2 different values. Also, suprising, a friends '95 993 that we know is "stock" was dynoed and showed more power than anothers "VRam" '96 993 which is supposed to have +10hp than non vram.

Be sure to share the results.. you should get printouts.. besure to scan and post the results, unless, of course, you've built a "cheater" motor.. but who would do that

I've been contemplating asking everyone if they would be interested in setting up a dorkiphus dyno day. I know a perfect location in Beltsville, MD (off Route 1 & 495) that has a 2 wheel dynomometer with plenty of parking.

Anyone interested? It could be an all day affair pending the amount of interest. Sorry about the 4WD guys/gals.

Dave,
No, I did not baseline the motor previously. I have been driving the stock motor trying to learn "how to drive". It just so happens I broke a rocker arm on the Shenandoah so it was time to replace the top end with 90,000 miles on it. I had no need to dyno the car since I've been happy with the performance up until this "incident"! Now I want to be sure it's all back together properly.
Did your friend with the 993 inquire if the dyno operators had updated software and checked their dynos for accuracy as part of maintenance?
I will call Curry's to look into it.
I hadn't thought of it, but would you please post the names of those you know who have "cheater" motors
I'll be happy to deliver to you any dyno results when I get them.
Oh yeah, is your motor stock? How much weight have you taken off of your car? But don't sweat this 993, your in red, I'm in white!

PCA Potomac has dyno days once or twice a year. The shop deeply discounts the dyno runs and Potomac gives the $ to a kids cancer foundation. No muss no fuss, no insurance issues just sign up. There is one comming up.
