why bother with a hard to use unreliable electric pump. old-fashioned manual tire pump will work fine and fit in the front parallel to the jack.

George Burns said "you know you are old when you bend down to tie your shoes you look for something else to do also, to use the expended energy"

So, I'm looking for something else to to when I reach in to pull out the spare and pump it up!

Will post results when I find that other thing to do!

As long as you give yourself an hour or two to fill a car tire.......

dave - the wheel "fits", the bolts tighten, it doesn't fall off. That's all I checked. I didn't drive on it - but I wouldn't expect to go far or fast on a high pressure spare.

Understand, just though there might be issues with inside clearance when turning front and inside clearance out back (~20 mm dif). Still real good idea if it works. Was wondering if one would fit in the front of the 964. Could lose the pump that was displaced by stereo

Used the doughnut on my Saab once; got me from D.C. back to Fredneck with no trouble, save the a-holes behind me laying on the horns because I had to keep speed down to 50.

Inflated the spare in my P-car with a cheapie, plug-into-the-cig-lighter once, and it held air fine. It'll be worth its weight in gold if there's ever a blowout far from home.
