Best Western # 434 483-5000 FWI. Not a recommendation. Sleep Inn across the street may be a bit cheaper.

Do not eat at the Chicken and Rib place. The food is awful, besides you may run into some of our more thrifty members with souped up cars.

I stayed at the Sleep Inn last year and the place had plenty of rooms without a reservation.

We've had good success at the Sleep Inn. Follow that highway west and there's a fair fried seafood place on the right atop a hill. Other than that, never had much luck with restaurants in Danville.

There is a great little italian place near the sleep in (its on the end of the mall with the Food Lion) which has great subs

I didn't know subs were Italian food! I've seen panini in Italy, but no meatball or veal parm subs

I stayed at the Super 8 closer to the middle of Danville last year. AAA discount = $59. a night. Not great but who cares,ya just crash there. Closer to the real resturants in the new section of town,

Where do people stay at Summit Point? I have heard Shoney's but its a pit...my wife is coming up for dinner at P fest and staying for Taste of the Track Sunday...if the hotel sucks, Steve will hear about it.

This place opened up last year caddy corner from Shoneys behind the shopping center where Tractor Supply is. Just tell them your with Southeastern Container Inc in Winchester for a good discount.

Ben and I stayed at the Travelodge (one exit south on the highway) in July. $54 with AAA discount (with tax--same as Shoneys). It was MUCH nicer than Shoneys but didn't have waffles with their breakfast. We'll stay there again. Last time we stayed at Shoneys it was under brand new Mgmt and was truly horrible.
