Default Drifting the 944

In an attempt to further learn car control, I did a drifting event at Summit Point this weekend in my 944 Turbo. Really nice people, fun event, and pretty difficult. I'll do it again.

I took the Boxsera out last year to try to burn up a set of old tires. It was fun, but the car really wants to go straight. It was difficult to put together a combination drift. I could pull a right, or a left, but not one to the other. It was a lot more fun on the skidpad sessions at Washington Circuit. Paul was out as well. It was fun, but I don't think either of us will be drifting again any time soon.

I recall that the 996 hated trying to drift in the wet due to the tall gears where the Boxster loved it. Then in the dry the 996 could drift everywhere and the Boxster had trouble.

I sure felt that sliding sideways revving hard was very abusive on my car and my precious alignment, way more than a full weekend DE.

clearly the inputs were too rough and indicates getting behind the car.
