Ok so I have gotten a fair amount of interest but nobody
seems to want a car with a branded title.
I will take 21k for it.
If no one wants it for that then Im either going to start parting the
car out or make it a dedicated track car!
Engine has about 42k and the LSD should bring in about half
of what Im asking if I part it out I would guess.
Any thoughts or suggestions???

Bill

Since you asked for advice, and since I also have a 993, here are a few thoughts:

1) Get rid of the rims, tail, and rocker panels, and put the stock parts back on. 95 percent of potential buyers aren't going to like your taste in mods. The body kit and the rims don't even go together. This isn't to say you don't have discerning, elegant taste; it's just that there is virtually zero overlap between people who want Fast-and-Furious style cars and people who want Porsche 993's.

2) Take some more pictures, especially since this car has a salvage title. Interior, engine, exterior.

3) How about some details? All anyone knows are that it has about 42K miles and sport seats.

If you got rid of the fiberglass body kit and made a presentable ad, I'm sure you'd sell the car at $21K.

I agree with most of what Noah has said. The "go-fast" parts are incongruous. The GT2 wing might appeal to a hard-core track person who is going to take advantage of the salvage title and turn the 993 into a race or DE car . . . but the SUV-height suspension suggests that the vehicle is one more step away from a real track car. My suggestion is to ditch the GT2 wing but leave the front splitter alone. Those wheels are not my favorite but are not deal-killers, either; if you have the stock rims, out them back on. I'd also prefer to see the car sans side skirts and window tinting.

If you do all these things and can't move it, drop the price. Even at 42,000 miles, the salvage title is going to turn away your market, for there are a decent number of 993's out there that cost more and might have a few more on the odo but are not branded. Alternatively, you can drop the price now and save yourself the hassle of having to find paint a new decklid (assuming you no longer have the original one), sell and ship the GT2 wing, remove the skirts and respray the body panels underneath the skirts (contact abrasion), as well as get rid of the tinting.

In this market, I think your car will sell a bit south of $21,000. Best of luck with the sale.

I also agree with most of what Noah said.
Being the holidays I just took some old pictures I had when I bought the car
and picked the best one. No my taste isn't that bad... I bought it that way.
I agree it looked like Rickey Racer wannabe.
Since then It has a nice set of BBS rims and no window tint.
The wing is still there as I don't have the original or it would have been changed as well. Side skirts are not for me either but are still there.
I need to get of my A$$ and take pics I guess...
I have had no luck posting to Rennlist Im not sure why I just cant get it to
post. User error.. Here is my phone number if anyone knows of interested
parties. 213-713-0713 Yes its a California number but the car is indeed here
in MD. If I cant get more than 20k for the car then maybe parting it out isn't such a bad idea? Thanks for the advice and suggestions. Getting some interest
from Clist as well so Ill keep everyone posted then put up some pics of the new Cayman S

IMO, Leave the parts on. I happen to like the wing and wheels. Tint not so much (and it wouldn't pass MD inspection as such.) Wheels are easy enough to flip for ones the buyer likes after the sale anyway. Personal taste in wheels is, well, personal.

Folks looking for a stock bone 993 don't want a salvage title anyway so don't spend the money taking it back to stock. Find a buyer who wants what you have.
