Boy, Stock sure isn't very stock anymore. Its almost like the old prepared classes it seems. "stock fenders" but not held on in the stock way. Stripped interiors. Converting from Sunroof to non-sunroof. 18" wheels. Fiberglass bumpers. Full roll cages.
Don't forget remote reservoir shocks. Don't the "stock" classes allow those, too?

U forgot about the cage w/door bars, seat brace, window net, harnesses, cut off switch, fuel cell... don’t see many of those in “stock” cars!! <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>
Don't just say "safety" either! The sunroof keeps even average height people from sitting high enough to see over the steering wheel! And if everyone is trying to be safe why leave stuff in the car that will burn while you are trying to climb out of the confinement seat, through the window nets and over the NASCRAP bars

"Stock" hasn’t meant takinig out the beer bottles, taping up the headlights, grabbing your helmet and lining up for a very long time!!! <o></o>

I think the remote shocks are allowed in stock, yes.. And lets not overlook the "$25K" stock engine rebuilds Then again, the cash payoff is quite remarkable for all this work.

Maybe they need to re-introduce a "showroom stock" class with fewer "stock" adjustments

You could use square drive stainless screws

Much more likely to find an Allen wrench (or a Phillips screwdriver, for that matter) than a square drive wrench in the pits.

The white car is covered with 1/4-20 button head stainless fastners. They are imperial but a metric hex fits too. Win!

You asked for suggestions and that one was good... U could at least thank him before saying why YOU don't think it would work (for you)!

fo shizzle. I love square drive. Nearly impossible to strip them, even when rusty, they're great fasteners.
