It would be nice, for once, to get a serious answer. If I can get to weight by FG bumpers, removing excess wiring, sunroof, AC, soundproofing (a lot of cars in stock class seem to have weights), are there other reasons to remove RS carpet or not put it in? I have a busy enough winter planned already...

You are not just slow on the track AFA weight goes, it is not just the weight, but how it is distributed. People remove bumpers and sun roof to take the weight from up high and then add balast down low to make weight without consideration that they would have made weight without using FG bumpers, etc. So, hopefully you cleaned the crap under the carpet before going to Piper. Just paint the inside, so it looks better than TR's interior and move on. Learning you will take a lot of time. |

A/C compressor is the biggie for the 44 guys. Most 911 cheaters could simply discounnect the belt and not lose any power turning the compressor which was not possible in a water pumper. I am already looking for the A/C bracket and belt. I think some guys would got the compressor to loose weight and minimize power it took to turn the thing.
No camber plate for me at this point. I get -3 or -3.5 camber with the set up I have. When I submitted my comments for carpet delete, I also added that removal of other interior pieces such as lower rear seat bottoms should be allowed, but I guess that did not go. Maybe next year. |
