PCA puts on a solid event and I appreciate being allowed to participate even though I drive an Audi TT. This was my second event with PCA and I have been impressed throughout. I would like to thank Rob for hosting me at this event and introducing me to Tim, Fritz, Rick, and others. It was nice meeting you guys. Good to see Ryan again also.

I plan to run your full schedule next year and maybe in a different car. You may see me around the forum more often asking for some help on things (I’m good at being vague. :-D).

Yup, just posted, but I don't think I caught you. I was only able to get the camera up and going for Sunday, and I have a vid from the wet a.m. session that I think you're in. I'll get that posted in the next few days.

This was my first event with Potomac as well and I must say I rather enjoyed it. I was a bit shocked that they combined the red and black groups for the least session on sunday which resulted in a TON of cars on track!!! Honestly i think it was a bit much as there was a ton of traffic, and I'm not sure we all were expecting that.

I'm very accustom to passing everywhere as I do it in other groups, and when i race. I thought that PCA had the 80/20 as described in the drivers/instructors meeting. 80% of the guys were more than willing to go 2 wide with me anywhere which is great. 20% of them were not so willing and thats fine, it takes time to learn that you can go 2 and sometimes 3 wide in places.

whayes, it was great meeting you and borrowing your torque wrench saturday, what a life saver! I met some over dorki members this weekend and really enjoyed myself. As for the incident in black, by the time i came around i only saw the other car in the wall in 2. Stuff like this does not happen often and when it does it can tear a community apart. I'm not saying what is correct/incorrect for people to do, but if i had hit anyone, I would not want to show my face around here for a LONG time. I would hope that an apology would come sometime, and offline as well. But in the end, we all take that risk everytime we go out there. I'm also VERY glad everyone is OK! that the important part, we cant replace people.... cars can be fixed.

I did! Even though i had a 944 I never had the 944 on track with the potomac region. Once i started racing, I was doing that more, and HPDE's with points on straights got really boring. Once i heard about open passing in PCA i decided to give it a try! I think I'll be coming back, and I'm looking into becoming a PCA certified instructor

Welcome Rob, it was really fun watching to zip around in that TT; so I guess a 911 is in your future If you are interested, there is a very nice 83 SC I know for sale by a friend of mine

Ross, we often combine Red and Black for the last session on the last day as so many have usually left and it allows a bit more track time. I was not there to count the cars, but our Red and Black track loading at Summit is 40 cars. That number with a combined group where there is a disparity in experience and not having run regularily over the weekend with them can be a bit chaotic, normally we would expect no more than 25-30 still being around for the combined run, and I believe it may have been closer to the upper 30s requiring a bit more patience and backing off a wee bit as we tell everyone in the drivers/instructors meeting, dial it back on the last day!!
