Great write up, and congrats on the success!! Your work and attention to detail is unparalelled. Nice to see the hard work pay off.

It's really an unbelievably exceptional achievement, IMO. It's really hard to explain if you've never had a car laying in pieces in one point in your garage, put it together and then took it straight to the track and drove.
The car Kurt built is, by itself, simply amazing. Everyone keeps saying you need to see it up close to appreciate all the attention to detail, and they're right. I was lucky enough to see a lot of the stuff Kurt did early in the project that can no longer be seen, and the craftsmanship on every part of that car is unbelievable. A couple years ago I did a major overhaul on my car. This project was not remotely close to the scale of Kurt's build. The first weekend back on track I was an absolute mess. Listening for noises. Checking and rechecking bolts for torque. Trying to figure out new suspension settings. Back on track, in the same car I'd been driving for years, I was much slower. The scale of Kurt's project is this x100. And aside from a fuel pump and fuel issue, is out in a completely different car turning 1:22s. All without touching the suspension or tweaking settings. Un-f**king-real. Quote:
Then we went into T1 and I got to see first hand the advantage of big tires, flares and a big wing. Despite the fact that I have a LSD and Kurt doesn't, he walked away from me in T1 like I was in his 912. My personal opinion: This car can hit 20s as-is. 20s are what GT3s on Hoosiers run. This car will do it on Toyos. Throw in a LSD and Hoos, and I think you're looking at 18s.

Just dialing in the shocks might very well get you into 1:20s. I too think you'll be well into the teens eventually. Thats sick!

I had to go back to the beginning of this thread to review beginning to end just to begin to fathom the level of effort involved here. UFB
