So guess what....it turns out the folks she let in line were friends of hers. As we get onto the merge lane on the bridge over the GW, her friend in front of me STOPS. Then the beyotch that started the whole thing pulls up alongside me on the left, and STOPS...IN THE RIGHT TRAVEL LANE . Next thing I see both of them jump out their cars and come over to my window and start berating me. So.....first they don't have time to wait in line like everyone else...but they do have time to STOP 2 LANES OF TRAFFIC on 395...wtf?? So I call 911 on my cell, while lady #1 is going nuts outside my window. While I'm trying to explain the situation to 911, another motorist hops out of his car and asks the women what's happened. Did the cars collide? Is anyone injured? They said no, that they were just mad at me. He then asks why are they acting like total idiots and blocking traffic??? They got back into their cars and we start moving again.

Totally bizarre.......

Sounds a lot like new TT drovers in green group getting pissed at more seasoned drovers who are only in 944s

At the time it was just me....remember I was heading back into DC to pickup my riders for the afternoon ride back home. Its a 15-passenger van; I currently have 12 riders.

I suggest, in both instances, at the next available opportunity you just ram the idiots, particularly if you have a heavy ass 15 passenger van.

I have a daily battle with these idiots who think it is fine to butt in line at the lane divide on 270 N where it goes from 3 lanes to 2. There is a sign a half mile or more from the end of the lane which says "Lane Ends, Merge Left" I know it does not say "Step on the gas and pass everyone merging into and already in the left until you run out of road and then force your way into the line of traffic making everyone for two miles back come to a stop to let you in." cuz I had my glasses checked. Each day I make it my responsibility to slow down and match the speed of the lane to left in order to be able to merge while still moving. But instead of actually merging, I continue to drive at the same speed as the cars to my left until the lane ends at which point the grateful folks on the left let me in. I have people regularly pass me to the right on the shoulder to jump ahead and butt in line anyway, blow the horn as they go past and give me the bird. Inconsiderate, ignorant, idiots.

Oh boy Van stories!

I was driving a work van north from New York Ave on a street with 2 lanes each way. The north bound side was stopped. A female pulled out in a RAV4 from a parking lot on the left and sat perpendicular to the south bound lanes waiting for traffic to move so she could pull into the northbound lanes. She was perpendicular to the truck in front of me. While waiting a fire truck came southbound with lights lit and horn blaring. She did not back up into the parking lot. She continued to wait. When northbound traffic started to move, I plastered my truck inches from the truck in front of me and smiled at her as I went by. The person behind me let her in. She raced up my right side and slid infront of of me in the gap that was now between me and the truck in front of me, and she nailed her brakes. Knowing there was no way I could stop a van in time, I never touched the brake and passed her on the right and then pulled back into the left lane as she tried to accelerate to block me. She then tried to pass me on the left in the oncoming traffic lanes but I was again on the bumper of the truck in front of me so she could not pull back into the northbound lanes. Uh oh! now there is southbound traffic heading toward her so she nails the brakes to pull back behind me but she cuts it too close and catches her bumper on our big iron truck bumper removing the whole front of her vehicle. She followed us for a while with the whole front fascia flapping and my boss wanted me to brake check her now but she finally realized she lost and pulled over. We were called by a lawyer but we kept asking him to explain how damage to the front of her car was not her fault. Nothing ever came of it. Some drivers think they are ready for Varsity but are simply at the Fresh-Soph level.
