Absolutely! At least for a REAC. I've done solo drops and reinstalls many times.

Give this one a look: Greg Smith.
I'm not a shill for Greg Smith stuff - when I shopped lifts I found this one to be lower cost with more features than the bend-pak (7 stops vs. 3 IIRC). Plus, this vs. the HF lift you can get parts semi-local vs. waiting for parts to come from China. Just my $.02.

Here's the latest from this past weekend. I had help from a local guy who really knows his stuff with the older pcars. I am fortunate he really likes to help out!
Removed all valve covers and found all lower head bolts to be loose just like the top. Adjusted the valves. Changed the oil - kinda had too to do all this work. I went with cheap oil for now since I am still trying to baseline the engine. Cleaned the jets in the carbs and adjusted the float levels. All were low. Did a gross adjustment of the carbs and synched them Re-gapped the plugs - need to replace with Bosch plugs Adjusted the idle timing - it was off Ran a compression test and found surprising results. Five of the six were 200 at 10 strokes and one was 180!! Amazing to see they were this good! I ran the car the next day it ran much better but the carbs really need to be fine tuned. Still seems as though it's not quite firing properly on all cylinders. There are still a couple oil leaks so I got out the Gunk cleaner, put the car on jack stands in the driveway and used the pressure washer to get all the crap off so I can run it to find the leaks. I think the tranny has a good leak where it mates to the engine. I am hopeful that the cylinders are no longer leaking. Attached are some pics after cleaning. Next weekend is running it on the lift to watch for leaks.

Hmmm before you do more carburetor work replace the plugs with stock replacements or hotter plugs, replace wire, replace cap and rotor, and replace points. Then TIME the ignition. If you haven't done the above you will see how incredible proper ignition equipment and timing will effect driveability.

How about resizing the pics too? Really cool car, and I'd like to follow the progress but... try 800 x 700 or so, that works really well on lap tops and desks.

I should add what I said above by saying to adjust the carburetors after replacing all the ignition.

Sorry about the pics. I wanted to re-size but ran out of steam
I just ordered plugs and points today. The wires are new and correct. Also getting the Fox Rota wheels this week which I bought from the current 'Scruffy' owner on Pelican. I'm hoping they fit well while I determine if I want to keep the 15"'s on there.

I re-sized the pics. Found a piece of software that did it quickly but then tagged my pics with their logo
What are your thoughts about the 200psi on the compression? Is this higher than normal for a 2.0? Makes me wonder what type of pistons are in there.
