Looking good, Kurt. I was wondering how you were coming with the car and how the motor is doing.

I'll throw up some pix of the motor next. Jazzbase got me off my ass on thinking out the wiring for it and I have all the stuff needed for the electrical. I had gone the easy route and purchases a conversion harness but it needed some further converting for a car that had nothing to start with. I did not feel like letting the smoke out of something while on the steep end of the learning curve.
Installed the LW clutch and flywheel and have a 915 to bolt on but still need the part that goes on the clutch throw-out shaft.
Did a power steering pump delete out of some flat stock and the original pump base.
still need to paint strip the motor mount and reinforce it. Anyone have pix of ones that were done? I have an idea of what is needed but like to learn from others as well.
Took off a big heavy pile of stuff and saved it for a funnyfoto. Hope I did not take off anything needed. (kept it all just in case)
What the hell, this stupid motor had 2 dizzys. Who needs two of them? Nuthing a plasma cutter and a hack saw could not fix and saved me 2 pounds too. I got an extra set of plug wires and a spare coil to boot.
During all this I gots ta looking at it real good like and all and noticed that this MoFo motor has 6 cylinders! SIX! Ess Eye Exx. VI Gravel trap, here comes Kurt not in a 912.

Me too! L's dizzy belt snapped. I've just left it off but now I'm going to cut the 2nd one off too and rip out the some wires

You can check out the one I'm using. If I were in your position, I'd buy the single sheave flywheel pulley and run an early car console/crossmember that'll match right up to the factory mounts. I can't because my engine is a 964 lump and has to run the big ass 3 sheave pulley/harmonic dampner to reduce vibrations in the crankshaft. No such issues with the 993 crank.

TWO 965 oil coolers, Kurt? I'm pretty sure you only need one...

Yes, but at least THIS time, I'm wrong on purpose. Just trying to needle our friendly moderator.
