Default Garage Space at Summit Point

Thought some of you guys in No Va might be interested in this on Porsche Talk. I believe trailer storage (limited ) may also be possible. It is also possible to install lifts etc I heard. Hopefully here is a link.http://www.pcapotomac.org/ubb/ultima...;f=13;t=000683

Dirk, does this mean SP will have garage space to rent, or does it mean they are trying to gauge interest? I can't emphasize how much I enjoyed having a dry place to park / store my junk while at rainy Mid-Ohio.

These are going to be permanently rented facilities. I believe each garage will take upto 3 cars. I have heard some shops may be setting up there to do prep work on race cars. I don't think these are "track side" pit garages as Mid-Ohio or the Glen.

They passed a flyer out about this at an evet last year. Similar to VIR, they expect folks to store their cars at the track. Great idea to go in together and have a community stash for extra wheels, parts and tools. That brings up all kinds of issues though.

Sounds like The Point is moving up in the world. I hope they dont mess with Chez Summit though.

Default URGENT

Update on the Summit Point garages. Nando needs an urgent reply and commitment from anyone interested in sharing space. He has reserved two garages, back to back, ie 60 ft long, 24 ft wide, with doors at each end. 110V and 220V supplied plus heat, and gravel parking pad 30 wide at each end for trailers. Idea is to share with total five cars reserving one space for a future lift. Cold water and sink provided. Keypad access to compound with extra benefits of free entrance to spectator events etc. Deposit required assuming total 5 cars is $ 300 a piece and then $158 per month plus share of utilities and required insurance. Seeing cost of normal storage, this sounds pretty darn good especially for you folks around DC and No Va who are fairly close to SP anyway.
URGENT Nando needs to know today to reserve those spots.contact him at LFSPINTO@aol.com This sounds like a pretty good opportunity for those who are tight on storage and need somewhere to work on their cars also to have stuff close to the track that is not too far to pick up for away events.
