Holy $h1t, glad you're ok! Brutal impact.

What is the story with the seat and brackets? Did anything fail?

Pulled the car apart today at Intersport. No mechanical except bent tie rod, frame looks fine. Will know more tomorrow when new tierod shows up and really check it on alignment rack. One side of the car still looks good Ordered most parts today.....

Seat rails did not brake. The right rail and side seat mount did bend.Left side fine. Seat looks worse in video because camera actually shifts up, so cant see the sparco logo anymore.

What are the "rules" on belts/seats/mounts in an impact? Clearly PCA CR would have record of the impact. Would one be allowed to "reuse" any or all of this equipment? Is one required to replace belts/seat in a situation like this? Do the scruts check cars that have had an impact before they can race again?

No rule in place to replace them

I'm just moving them all to the passenger side

Need to update sig. Where's the AM?

I do not doubt that movement is bad, but one would think your deceleration over the extra 12" would reduce max G. I will be thinking of your wreck when putting seats and bar in my new car. Glad the damage looks to be mostly cosmetic. Time to call TR. Hammer time!

Great news!! Good luck on the rack, but even your radiator seems to have made it through unscathed.

Glad to see you're ok and that the car is back on the route to recovery.

This reminds me to order mounts and slider.

Why don't you be a pal and replace the front glass with lexan and let me know if you can keep lexan from leaking. I saw a deer's legs sticking out of the windshield of a Honda this morning which got me thinking about replacing my windshield with lexan as VG always advocates. However, I need someone to give me pointers on keeping it from leaking before I do it on the 993.

BTW, check the cage carefully. I realize no intrusion in your case, but ours was bent in a couple of places to varying degree with some little deformations only obvious with careful check. Good luck with the repairs.

Thanks
