CHRIS -- why are you planning on adding more power? Can you already maximize what it has out on the track??? Sign up for PCA potomac's HPDC next April, then sign up for a couple DEs. Your car may night torch hopped up Civics pulling away from stoplights, but you should be able to dust almost anyone in any car once you hit the twisties. It's all about knowing how to use what the car has!

To be honest, acceleration just doesn't impress me so much anymore. Ya know, I've never actually taken the car to the track, since it's my daily driver. Once I get around to getting these brakes fixed, I'll have to make a trip to Summit.

DR, David D., John, Scott, All:

Anyone interested in a quick drive in the Woodbridge/NoVA area this weekend, weather permiting?

I'll post something in the Fun Runs section of the website. Saturday morning?

DR, you asked about my tire sizes: 185/65-15 fronts, 205/60-15 rears. Thanks for the tip about rubber washers on the K&N air cleaner screws!

Andy
Welcome to you too Andy! I responded to your post in another thread. I'm always game to meet up and play. Just hope it doesn't rain all weekend =(

Well, I've been lurking for a while, and I think you guys are pretty funny, so I'll dip my toe in the water. I've had my '82 911SC (Wine Red Metallic, not that it looks like that in the top photo) for 2-1/2 years, and it's a garage queen and pure stock. I did drive it out west the first summer I had it - what a hoot but scared of expensive repairs which luckily did not happen. I live in Arlington with my GF and work for GSA. Here are some photos.

PS: Please don't get me confused with David Riley - he seems to have lost his "O" so now he spells his name wrong

Welcome!!!

That looks like a lot of fun driving through trees. Something I have always tried to avoid on track [or just off of the track due to some unforeseen traction loss issue ]

Beautiful car! Love that color (I used to have one that color). When are you "changing your ways" and coming out to the track!

Have you considered removing that front license plate bracket (or putting a plate on it - search the board for the thread on whether or not to use your front plate)?

Welcome and Fuch U Dave
And my "O" is intact, go ahead and ask my wife BTW mine is the correct way, means “good life” in Gaelic. But there’s room in Dorki land for all types…. as long as you schedule an engine drop within the first 100 posts.
Getting a fuch U dave on a first post is prolly a new record. IIRC it took Dr K ~12 before he got his first one… and his pic posting privileges revoked.

edit: can u check on my pen and postit order monday?
