Time for a new air gauge. Mine was knocked off its zero mark this past race weekend.
Looking for a digital model. Any make/models you would recommend or stay away from?

good discussion found here
http://rennlist.com/forums/997-forum...at-to-buy.html personallly i use the longacre ones, dont know the models off hand but the two of them read exactly the same....i double check them every so often in case one goes outta wack. i have had BAD luck with every digital gauge...borrowed or mine they have all been WWAAAYY off compared to my gauge....one was 10 lbs off. i believe the longacre are best from 24 or 26-36 psi and each make has a range it read best at

I have two oil filled Longacres that I carry to the track. The oil is supposed to reduce the damage from impacts. I have a no oil one that I keep at the garage. All three are within 2# and have been in service for 5+ years. I have two oil filled ones because I gave on to my father and he prefers his digital pen style gauge.
![]() I think this is the model I have: http://www.speedmerchants.com/produc...-guage-0-60psi

I have an old Moroso 0-60 psi that is still within 1 lb at mid-scale after a recent calibration by a friend's shop.
If I was buying another gauge today, it would probably be the Longacre Magnum (on sale at OG for $59.00). Glow in the dark 3.75" face, swivel chuck, and a case.

The sale at OG is on but all they have left are 0-15 or 0-30 psi units.

Russell, I like the Intercomp brand liquid filled gauges. They seem very well build, made in USA, and give accurate readings.
Every digital tire gauge I've owned has died in under a year and it's not just batteries.

I am happy with my Power Tank 8200 liquid filled gauge & hose. Four years of use.

I bought the Longacre Magnum 0-60 because it is larger and easy to read with my old eyeballs. Has 1 lb increments and an angle chuck. Very accurate and has a nice case. Looks like OG has the older version like mine on sale. The newer ones now have 1/2 lb increments which I think is harder to read without my glasses.
