Default Engine Drop Party - December 11th - 10 am.

On the one year anniversary of owning my 911, I decree that the engine shall come out.

Mark your calendars now, if you are interested in coming/helping/watching/critiquing/bs-ing and eating donuts/etc, post in this thread and I will send you the directions (I'm not yet on Mapquest). I will also update this thread with directions a couple days prior.

Also, if you have any SC specific tools (Oil line wrenchs, etc.) please PM me and I'll collect them in advance should you not be able to make it.

Many thanks and look forward to seeing you!
Steve

I am probably free that day to come and help out. I have the 36mm oil line wrench, and a thin 32mm wrench, if required. I have floor jacks, and jack pads. I have Justin's jack plate adapter tool, but I'm not sure if it works on an SC. I have Marc's motorcycle/ATV jack and pallette. I also have my tranny jack available to use. Finally, I have a variety of wrenches, screwdrivers, and hammers.

Cool. I made a HF run on Friday and picked up a second set of jackstands, a nice drip pan and a dead blow hammer. If it gets troublesome I could break out the sawzall , but I might need a new blade.

Works on any 2.0 - 3.0 911 engine.

I have all the tools you need and can probably swing by to eat donuts and watch Jim work. Why are you pulling the engine? Not that you need a reason, just curious.

The oil pressure switch went out. PIA to replace with the engine in. I will also do some cleaning and just give it a nice once-over looking for ways to spend money.

Because that's the least you should do if you are dropping the engine . Steve, I will try to make it to lend a hand, and spit some smack.
