Hey y'all,

Anyone know of a neighbor, cousin, boss, etc. planning to get rid of a hi-mileage (50K+) 997S 6-speed that didn't get a good trade in offer? I just missed out on one that went for $40K. (2005 S, 58K miles) and another that went for $45K (2005 S, 6sp, sport chrono, GT3 wheels, 35K miles, adaptive sport seats, bose). (The seller turned me down at $45K then had to take that anyway.) I've been looking but the usual low mileage cars that I find are still way too expensive. I've also been lurking on the Bay, but it seems only a few of the cars there are actually reaching reserve. (I won auctions but still below reserve.)

I'm hoping to help some Rennlister or Dorki who's moving up to a PDK or GT-3 to achieve their dream while I get a whole lot closer to mine. (997 Targa 4S ) Since the dealers don't really care for hi mileage cars, I suspect I can beat the trade-in offer they've made you on that new Lexus you're getting for those old bones.

You need to get away from the east coast in your search. All the 911's are overpriced around here. If you don't mind doing some traveling, I found multiple cars in the $35k-$40k range with 50-60k miles. Scroll down to the bottom to FEATURED LISTINGS.
