WTB - 997S, 6sp, Sport Seats, High miles OK
Hey y'all,
Anyone know of a neighbor, cousin, boss, etc. planning to get rid of a hi-mileage (50K+) 997S 6-speed that didn't get a good trade in offer? I just missed out on one that went for $40K. (2005 S, 58K miles) and another that went for $45K (2005 S, 6sp, sport chrono, GT3 wheels, 35K miles, adaptive sport seats, bose). (The seller turned me down at $45K then had to take that anyway.) I've been looking but the usual low mileage cars that I find are still way too expensive. I've also been lurking on the Bay, but it seems only a few of the cars there are actually reaching reserve. (I won auctions but still below reserve.)
I'm hoping to help some Rennlister or Dorki who's moving up to a PDK or GT-3 to achieve their dream while I get a whole lot closer to mine. (997 Targa 4S :cool:) Since the dealers don't really care for hi mileage cars, I suspect I can beat the trade-in offer they've made you on that new Lexus you're getting for those old bones.
